Kitchen Fitter in Boston

If you want a kitchen that looks as though it was built for your home, it needs to be fitted by someone who treats every measurement as if it matters. Mark Cox Installations is a family-run kitchen fitting business based in Fosdyke, near Boston, with over forty years' experience supplying and installing kitchens in everything from large period houses to compact flats. You deal directly with Mark from the first visit, and he and his sons carry out the fitting themselves.

Supply and Fit Kitchens

Most of our kitchens are supplied and fitted by us. That means we can plan the layout, source the units and fit everything as one job, with one team responsible for the result. Because we're not tied to a showroom range, we can include bespoke units and doors where a standard size won't do: a tall larder to fill an alcove, a corner unit that actually uses the corner, or a door style that suits an older house.

Those bespoke touches are what make a kitchen feel truly fitted rather than installed, and they're something high street kitchen retailers generally can't offer.

Fit-Only Kitchen Installation

If you've already bought your kitchen, we can fit it for you. Before you buy, though, Mark always suggests getting a supply and fit price from us to compare with high street suppliers. They aren't always the cheapest option once fitting is added, and a supply and fit plan lets you include the made-to-measure pieces that a flat-pack range can't.

How a Kitchen Installation Works

  1. Consultation and measure-up. We visit, take accurate measurements and talk through how you use the room.
  2. Design and advice. We help refine the layout, storage, worktops, finishes and practical details such as appliance positions.
  3. Preparation. Everything is planned to fit your room, not a generic template, so there are fewer surprises on fitting day.
  4. Installation and finishing. Units are levelled and scribed, doors and drawers are aligned, and the finishing details are completed with care.

On larger kitchens, Mark and his sons work together to keep the time your kitchen is out of action to a minimum.

What Makes a Well-Fitted Kitchen?

A kitchen can use good-quality units and still look ordinary if the fitting isn't right. The difference is in the details:

  • Units that are level and square, even when the floor and walls aren't
  • Even, consistent gaps between doors and drawer fronts
  • End panels and fillers scribed tightly to walls
  • Worktop joints that are neat, tight and well placed
  • Plinths, cornice and trims that finish cleanly

Mark's background is in joinery, having completed a City & Guilds apprenticeship before moving into fitting. That training shapes how he approaches every kitchen: measure carefully, plan for the room you've actually got, and finish to a standard you'd be happy to look at every day.

Kitchen Updates and Repairs

Not every kitchen needs replacing. If your units are sound, new doors or worktops can transform the room for a fraction of the cost. We also repair existing kitchens, from dropped doors and tired hinges to damaged panels. See our custom projects page for more.

Do you supply kitchens or only fit them?

Both. Most of our kitchens are supply and fit, which lets us include bespoke units and doors. We'll also fit a kitchen you've bought elsewhere.

Can you fit a kitchen I've bought from a high street retailer?

Yes. We'd recommend getting a supply and fit price from us first to compare, as it isn't always more expensive and gives you more options.

How long does it take to fit a kitchen?

It depends on the size of the kitchen and the work involved. We'll give you a realistic timeframe before we start, and on larger kitchens we work as a team to reduce downtime.

Do you fit kitchens in small homes and flats?

Yes. Mark has fitted kitchens in the grandest of houses and the smallest of flats. In a smaller kitchen, careful planning and bespoke units make the biggest difference.

Which areas do you cover?

We're based in Fosdyke and cover Boston, Spalding and the surrounding areas of South Holland.
