About Mark Cox Installations

Mark Cox Installations is a small, family-run fitting business based in Fosdyke, near Boston. For more than four decades, Mark has supplied and installed kitchens, bedrooms and fitted furniture in every kind of home, from the grandest of houses to the smallest of flats, as well as in workplace kitchens. Today, two of his sons work alongside him, so the people you meet at the start are the people who fit your room.

A Word from Mark

After serving a four-year City & Guilds apprenticeship in a joinery shop, it didn't take me long to realise that standing at a workbench five days a week wouldn't be for me. That was forty-plus years ago.

Since that time, I've spent my working life supplying and installing kitchen and bedroom furniture, along with other rooms such as utility rooms, boot rooms and lounge media units, in the grandest of houses to the smallest of flats, and also in workplace kitchens (offices, warehouses, etc.).

Over the years, two of my sons have been working alongside me as and when required. On larger installs we aim to work together, to lessen the downtime of any room we're working in.

We're also very happy to undertake door and worktop changes, and existing kitchen repairs.

During our time in this business, we've also undertaken "fit only" contracts in many new build and domestic properties.

We will take on "fit only" projects for individuals, but would always suggest getting a supply and fit price and plan to compare with high street suppliers. They may not be the cheapest option, and they won't do bespoke units and doors, which, in my experience, are the touches that make a room truly fitted.

Trained as a Joiner, Built for Fitting

Mark's background is joinery, and it shows in the way he works. A joiner's training teaches you to measure precisely, cut cleanly and understand how timber and board behave once they're in place. That knowledge is what lets him scribe a panel to an uneven wall, adapt a unit to an awkward alcove, or make a filler disappear so the finished room looks as though it grew there.

A Family Team

On larger jobs, Mark and his sons work together. More pairs of experienced hands means your kitchen or utility room is out of action for less time, without anyone cutting corners to get it done. You won't be handed over to a subcontractor you've never met: the same small team is responsible for the job from start to finish.
